Shipping and Returns Policy

1. Introduction

This Shipping and Returns Policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions of DiversingIT ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") and applies to all purchases made via our ecommerce website.

This policy applies to both business customers ("B2B Customers") and individual consumers ("B2C Customers"). Where provisions differ, this will be clearly indicated.


2. Shipping Policy

2.1 Delivery Areas

We deliver within the Republic of South Africa. Delivery to remote or outlying areas may incur additional charges or extended delivery times.

2.2 Processing Times

  • Orders are processed during business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).
  • Standard processing time: 1–2 business days, subject to stock availability.

2.3 Delivery Timeframes

  • Major metropolitan areas: 1–3 business days
  • Regional areas: 2–5 business days
  • Remote areas: 3–7 business days

Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed.

2.4 Shipping Costs

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on delivery location and order size.
  • Free shipping may be offered on qualifying orders at our discretion.

2.5 Risk and Ownership

  • Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery.
  • Ownership remains with the Company until full payment has been received.

2.6 Failed Deliveries

If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect information or customer unavailability:

  • Re-delivery fees may apply
  • Orders may be returned to our warehouse

3. Returns Policy

3.1 General Conditions

  • All return requests must be submitted within the applicable return period.
  • Products must be returned in original packaging and condition.
  • Proof of purchase is required.

3.2 B2C Customers (CPA Compliance)

Cooling-Off Period (ECTA Section 44)

  • B2C Customers may cancel an online order within 7 (seven) days of delivery.
  • Goods must be unused and returned in original condition.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective.

Defective Goods (CPA Section 56)

  • A 6-month implied warranty applies to defective goods.
  • Customers may request repair, replacement, or refund.
  • The Company reserves the right to inspect returned goods before approving claims.

3.3 B2B Customers

  • Returns are subject to prior written approval.
  • A restocking fee (typically 10–20%) may apply.
  • Custom orders and special procurements are non-returnable unless defective.

3.4 Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return unless defective:

  • Opened or activated software licenses
  • Special-order or customised items
  • Products damaged due to misuse or negligence

4. Return Process (RMA Procedure)

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact our support team at sales@diversingit.co.za
  2. Provide order number, product details, and reason for return
  3. Obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number
  4. Package the product securely and include all original contents
  5. Ship the product to the address provided

Returns without an RMA number may be rejected.


5. Refunds

  • Refunds will be processed once returned goods are received and inspected.
  • Approved refunds will be issued via the original payment method.
  • Processing time: 5–10 business days after approval.

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless required by law or in cases of defective goods.


6. Exchanges

  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability.
  • If the replacement product differs in price, the difference will be charged or refunded accordingly.

7. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged or incorrect product:

  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide photographic evidence where applicable
  • We will arrange collection, replacement, or refund at no cost to you

8. Warranty Claims

  • Warranty claims must follow manufacturer procedures where applicable.
  • The Company may facilitate the process but is not the warranty provider unless explicitly stated.
